Last Saturday, a load of 50 bales was transported from Wexford to some of the worst hit farmers in Donegal.

Some 62mm of rain hit Donegal on 22 August, which caused widespread devastation to lands in the county.

Father and son Pat and David Creane, from Kilmyshall, Co Wexford, donated the bales.

Members of the IFA in both counties, as well as Carlow haulier Rory O’Shaughnessy, organised the movement of the bales from the southeast to the northwest.
