The See Y’all in Moneygall Country Fest takes place at the Offaly town on Saturday 4 July. Patrons can enjoy the music of Mike Denver, Declan Nerney, Robert Mizzell, Michael English, Trudi Lalor and Lee Matthews throughout the afternoon. Also taking part are Adrian Ryan, Little White Lies (Tullamore) and Pat Costello. Gates open at 12.30pm and tickets can be had on the day.

The Firgrove Hotel in Mitchelstown will host the fifth annual fundraising dance in support of Marymount Hospice in Cork on 6 July 6 starting at 8.30pm. The line-up features Brendan and Patricia Lee from Birr as well as Pat Daly, Mona McDwyer and Waterford duo, Bachelors in Trouble. It gets underway at 8.30pm and admission is €10.

Big Tom was accorded a warm welcome when he attended the recent Ulster semi final game between Monaghan and Fermanagh in Breffni Park, Cavan. Many availed of the chance to have their photos taken with the country legend. Tom, who donned the Monaghan jersey in his young years, is looking forward to the Ulster Final showdown with Donegal on 19 July in Clones.

Paddy O’Brien will launch his new album, One of These Days, in The Hazel Tree, Mallow, on 6 July. He will be joined by a host of names from the country circuit including Robert Mizzell, John Hogan, Michael English, Patrick Feeney, Gary Gamble and the Ryan Turner Band and dancing gets underway at 9pm. This is Paddy’s 30th album, a remarkable contribution to the country scene.

The final of the Twilight Summer Races takes place at Limerick Racecourse on 23 July. The racing finishes at 8.50pm and the celebrations will conclude with Mike Denver in concert in the Munster Suite. This will be Mike’s first time to perform at the Limerick races.
