The Bachelors in Trouble will launch their new album, The Old Generation, in Crotty’s Inn, Leamybrien, on 4 September. Guest artists on the night are Pat Daly, Sandra O’Keeffe, Pat Costello and Paddy Greenslade. The compere is John O’Shea from WLR. Admission is €10 and proceeds from the launch are in support of the Irish Kidney Association.

Mike Denver and his band are Limerick bound this Thursday night, 27 August. They will be on stage at the Greenhills Hotel, which has long been a major mid-week country venue. Mike was the headline act at the recent Limerick Race Meeting.

Aidan Quinn has released a new four-track CD, which features the ever-popular All The Road Running, a duet with his mother Philomena Begley. The song was composed by Mark Knopfler. A Friend of Mine is his latest recording and this is also included in the release.

The first lady to represent Ireland in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1969 with The Wages of Love is enjoying a welcome return to the limelight in the past two years. She was recently featured on the Stephen Nolan Show on BBC, where she performed Me and Bobby McGee.

Danny and Mary O’Leary released their latest single. Say Goodbye is the choice from the Cork duo, who perform on the southern circuit. It was produced by Eddie Lee at his studios in Ballyheigue.

Lisa McCrory has released a new single from her forthcoming debut album. Lord of the Dance started life as a hymn penned by Sydney Carter in the early 1960s. It has enjoyed various cover versions over the years and the young singer from Carrickmore in Tyrone puts her own stamp on this uptempo number.
