Thursday is forecast to be rather cloudy, but some bright spells will occur in parts of the south. Scattered outbreaks of rain will become persistent and locally heavy in parts of Connacht, Ulster and north Leinster in the late morning or early afternoon, according to Met Éireann.

Rain will be well scattered elsewhere, with good dry periods also. It will be breezy, with fresh and gusty westerly winds, strong at times near western coasts and afternoon temperatures will range from 15°C to 18°C or possibly 19°C in parts of the south.
