Met Éireann is forecasting outbreaks of rain to develop from the north after a cloudy morning, with showers following later. It will turn colder, in fresh to strong and gusty north to northwest winds. A few wintry showers are possible in the north and northwest in the evening with highest temperatures of 7°C to 12°C.

  • The latest figures show that there are in fact more sheep in Ireland than there are humans. Our population stands at just under 4.8m, while there are almost 5.2m sheep in the country.
