Weather forecast

It will be mostly dry today, with frost clearing early, according to Met Éireann. There will be sunny spells in most places at times, but it will be rather cloudy in the north and northwest with some showery rain at times there and scattered showers developing elsewhere in the afternoon but a lot of places will be dry. Top temperatures will range from 8°C to 10°C in mostly moderate north to northwest breezes.

There is good news for poultry farms as housing restrictions are lifted. There are hopes the hen harrier scheme will open this year and Ireland needs to take a more targeted approach to funding the organic sector.
