Weather forecast
It will be cloudy this morning with patchy mist and drizzle in places, but otherwise generally dry. The cloud will thin out later this afternoon and better brightness will develop towards evening. Highest temperatures will range from 10°C to 13°C in light southwesterly breezes. Tonight will be mainly dry and clear with patches of fog and mist. Lowest temperatures will be between 1° and 4°C with grass frost likely to occur.

It has emerged that the bidders whose purchases fell through at this week's auction of the Cradenhill herd were trying to retain ownership of the animals in the family.
