Irish Farmers Journal breakfast news: Monday 7 December
A status yellow weather warning in place across the country and changes to BDGP participation levels are just some of our breakfast news stories today.
It is windy and mostly cloudy today. There will be some rain this morning, mostly light and intermittent, with dry, bright intervals. However, a band of more persistent and heavier rain hitting Atlantic coasts by midday, will move across the country this afternoon. More showery weather will follow this evening. It will be strong and gusty, with southeast to south winds veering southerly and decreasing as the rain clears. It will be very mild, with top temperatures of 12°C to 14°C.
Tonight will be mild and breezy, with some further rain or showers, as well as heavy bursts in Atlantic coastal areas at times. There will be some dry spells also. Lowest temperatures will range from 5°C to 8°C.
