Good morning. In the news today: TB levels have fallen to lowest ever recorded, Fianna Fáil promises a €200 suckler payment and the Egyptians are interested in sourcing more live cattle from the EU.
This morning will start off cold and frosty with patches of freezing fog in many places, according to Met Éireann. Outbreaks of showery rain and sleet will affect parts of the west and south for a time but will have cleared by the afternoon. Otherwise dry and bright day ahead with sunshine. Highest temperatures of four to six degrees in light breezes.
