IRISH DOUBLE IN WELLINGTON

In a unique double success, Ireland’s Conor Swail and Darragh Kenny scooped the two leading rider awards on offer at the conclusion to Winter/Spring league action in Florida last week.

Conor won six of the 12 Grand Prix events run at The Ridge Turf Club since Christmas and was honoured with a prize that includes an exclusive IPC membership.

Meantime, Darragh Kenny was busy winning and placing at the 12-week Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington where last week he was presented with a two-year lease of a beautiful new Range Rover Evoque.

Elsewhere, at the opening round of this year’s Longines Global Champions Tour in Miami, Denis Lynch had one fence down to place 12th on his new one Ho Go and pick up $6,000 behind winner Scott Brash, who took home $200,000 on Hello Sanctos.
