Web Summit is a global technology conference organiser, based in Dublin, founded by farmer’s son and Wicklow man Paddy Cosgrave, which has grown to a team of over 130 in less than five years – and it’s recruiting.

Web Summit runs a series of tech conferences around the world and is looking for “trusted advisers” for its f.ounders conference. F.ounders is a private (invite-only) gathering for 150 innovators and investors in tech that has taken place in Dublin, Hong Kong, New Orleans, Las Vegas and New York. F.ounders has previously welcomed the CEOs and founders of Twitter, YouTube, Skype, Apple, PayPal, Uber, Dropbox and Amazon through its doors. The positions are based in Web Summit’s Dublin office.

Responsibilities of the role include fostering relationships with “VIPs” and actively catering for their requirements.

Candidates will act as a point of contact for attendees and other teams, providing administrative support, collecting attendee information, producing event-specific documentation and ensuring appropriate arrangements, such as accommodation, are made. Those in the role will also liaise with in-house event producers and designers, supporting event execution – among many other responsibilities.

Web Summit is looking for well-organised team players who are excited at the prospect of working in a fast-paced environment across multiple campaigns simultaneously.

They want someone who is a people-person and a keen planner, with exceptional attention to detail. In terms of academic qualifications, candidates must have a bachelor’s or master’s degree, as well as one year’s proven experience in a campaign/client management role.

Teeling Whiskey

If you are a fan of whiskey then this could be the dream job for you. Teeling Whiskey is looking for tour guides who will host entertaining tours of its working distillery in Dublin 8.

The role also involves serving cocktails and conducting tutored tastings of the Teeling’s vintage whiskey ranges in the Bang Bang Bar. Candidates will also be required to help in the shop and in the café occasionally.

Teeling is looking for people with fantastic communication and interpersonal skills, while a second language would be an advantage.

The ideal candidates will also have experience in food and beverage service and an interest in whiskey production. There are both full-time and part-time roles available.
