Organisers of agricultural shows throughout the country know exactly what it takes to get a show to run smoothly on the day. No matter what size the show, the proceedings are driven by volunteers and sponsorship.
Tullamore Show has over 650 volunteers helping on the site both on show day and in the weeks and months preceding it. Along with the show chairperson, secretary and public relations officer, a group of 30 executive committee members direct these volunteers under 16 different sub-committees. These people are the driving force, for without them, no show would happen at all.
This is the show’s 26th year running and for 2017 AIB has again confirmed its commitment as lead sponsor, a partnership which has now entered its 15th year.

Having access to funds from as many sponsors as the Tullamore Show adds greatly to its success as it draws in many more exhibits, in turn drawing in more crowds. This year there will be a €175,000 prize fund on offer across 1,000-plus categories, up by over €7,000 in comparison with 2016 levels.
