Kerry Group

Kerry Group is the largest food and ingredients company on the Irish stock exchange, valued at over €11bn. It employs more than 24,000 people globally, so it should come as no surprise that Kerry filled 800 positions in Ireland alone in 2016. This was a mix of replacement hires and newly created roles.

Positions filled were in the areas of HR, ICT, manufacturing, marketing, R&D, sales, regulatory, commercial finance, financial control and customer services, while general operatives and 45 graduates were also hired.

Some roles were filled in Kerry due to retirements.

Glanbia

Glanbia took on 65 graduates in 2016 and has launched the next phase of its Pure Ambition graduate programme, which will create 50 new positions in areas such as accounting and finance, IT, digital media, engineering, procurement, supply chain, marketing, human resources along with food, nutritional and agricultural science. At the time of going to press, there were 153 jobs on Glanbia’s website, which included several positions at its plant in Illinois. Glanbia’s performance nutrition headquarters (which employs 200 people), and the manufacturing facilities for the performance nutrition products is located on the outskirts of Chicago.

Some of the roles being recruited for there include manager of pricing, product development manager, graphic designer and senior accountant. Glanbia is also recruiting a graphic designer and a senior sales manager in Shanghai, an innovation technologist in Florida, a technician in South Carolina, a sales executive in Auckland, New Zealand, and an accountant in Dublin. And these are just a few of the positions available. See www.glanbia.com/careers for more.
