This was one of the few auctions to be held in February and one of the first for spring 2016 for selling agent DJ Fennelly, Callan.
Before a full house, bidding opened at €200,000 and steadily progressed in €5,000 increments to €280,000 with the help of three active bidders. After this, smaller bids were taken all the way to €314,000, at which stage the property was withdrawn. However, post auction negotiations ensued and a deal was agreed at an undisclosed higher figure. It’s believed the buyer currently resides abroad but has local connections. The property came with a small single-storey farmhouse.
