LacPatrick increases July milk price

The co-op formerly known as Ballyrashane and Town of Monaghan has decided a 0.5c/l increase for milk supplied in the Republic.

LacPatrick's base price for July milk is 23.75c/l including VAT (22.5c/l excluding VAT).

The move follows a general uplift on dairy commodity markets, illustrated by the 12.7% jump in the value of products traded at the latest GDT auction.

Most processors have decided increases of 1c/l to 1.5c/l for July, with the phrase "cautious optimism" used by several co-op executives in the past week.
