Having broken the $6,000 barrier for the first time on record at the last auction, butter has dropped almost 5% down to $5,747.

Skim milk powder (SMP) has fallen by 3% for the second auction in a row to under $2,000.

Cheddar also dropped almost 5%, down to $3,932, while whole milk powder (WMP) rose 1.3% to $3,155.

Overall, the GDT fell 1.6% at the latest auction having increased by 0.2% at the last one two weeks ago.

Prices at the GDT auction have remain steady over the previous five auctions.
