Take some temperatures if you’re not sure – you can often pick up some sick animals with a temperature check who are not showing other signs of sickness.
Temperatures of weanlings should be around 100-102°F. Consult your vet if in doubt.

Some farmers have found allowing autumn calves outdoors for a few hours every day has helped reduce pneumonia incidence. Don’t forget about booster shots if you are on a pneumonia vaccination programme.
