An Garda Síochána has confirmed that they are investigating an incident where 10 sheep were killed after being struck by an unknown vehicle on 26 January in Co Monaghan.
The incident occurred on the Roslea road in the Aghafin region of Clones, Co Monaghan, and was reported to the gardaí shortly after 10pm on Friday night.
The Irish Farmers Journal was told that the farmer was forced to call the vet to put down three of the 10 sheep after the vehicle struck the animals and failed to stop at the scene.
