Another farmer who has opened up his land to agri tourism is Martin Guerin, the owner of Guerin’s Path.
“I started off last year doing pony and trap drives but it’s developed more about guided walks, including giving a history of the area and keeping an agricultural theme with animals on the farm,” Guerin said. “It might be simple stuff to us but it’s a great experience for visitors and tourists.
“Farming is not really sustainable in the west of Ireland and I thought I should make use of the cliffs and make a living out of it.

“I have a great platform for a tourism business here and that’s definitely the way I see for my children if they keep farming here.”
