Irish Grain Growers Group chair Bobby Miller updated news correspondent Thomas Hubert on the impact of the weather on crops and his expectations for CAP reform.

At an Irish Farmers Journal event in Co Clare, IFA director general Damian McDonald called for immediate support for the suckler sector and encouraged all farm organisations to work on securing an increased CAP budget.

Also in Co Clare, Kilrush Credit Union chief executive Matt Heslin told Hannah Quinn-Mulligan why farmers should make use of the tailor-made Cultivate farm loan scheme.

Beef editor Adam Woods met Brendan Dunford, manager of the Burren Programme, who told him how farming has moulded the landscape and why today's farmers are responsible for this unique landscape in Co Clare.

Tommy Moyles talked to west Cork contractor Adrian Lewis, who recently went to Cape Clear island to cut silage for the local farmers.

And finally, Una Sinnott visited berry farmer John Greene on his farm in Gorey, Co Wexford to discuss his business and the impact the weather since the start of this year has had, and to taste new strawberry varieties.
