Kerry Group has increased its milk price by 1c/l for July supplies, a spokesperson for Kerry told the Irish Farmers Journal.

For July, Kerry will pay suppliers a base price of 30.36c/l, excluding VAT. Kerry is the first processor to set a price for July supplies.

News of the price rise comes after prices at this week’s Global Dairy Trade auction remained unchanged following two consecutive price drops in July.

Overall, while prices remained unchanged, butter prices at the auction slipped by 3.2% to €4,143/t, while skim milk powder decreased by 0.3% to €1,701/t following an increase last time.
