ANC farmers will see an increase in their payments when they start landing in bank accounts from 17 September. The additional funding of €25m for Areas of Natural Constraint (ANC) announced in last year’s budget will apply to this year’s payments. The Department of Agriculture confirmed to the IFA that the new rates would apply from this year. The extra funding brings total ANC funding to €228m.
