Initially, the position will involve working closely with the business owner with a view to stepping up to run the farm to facilitate the growth of the business.

An agricultural dealership with depots in Co Galway and Co Limerick is seeking to hire an experienced agricultural mechanic. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing an effective and efficient preparation and repair service to agricultural machines on and off the premises.

The ideal candidate will have completed all phases of the FÁS agricultural mechanic training programme or equivalent, in addition to having a minimum of three years’ work experience in the farm machinery industry.

This dairy enterprise is running two dairy herds - one in Ballacolla and one in Rathdowney. Both farms are new greenfield sites which have modern milking facilities, a 40-bail rotary on one and a 24-unit herringbone on the other.
