Watch: herd health conversations at the National Dairy Show
Journal vet Tommy Heffernan travelled to Millstreet on Saturday and caught up with some vets who were talking herd health management and vaccination for the winter.
The National Dairy Show was held in Millstreet, Co, Cork, last weekend and from early on big crowds started to gather. The weather was good and with payments hitting bank accounts, farmers were in good form. Some of the many conversations were around how well cows were milking for the time of the year.

There were lots of questions around vaccines and winter dosing as well. I caught up with two animal health companies at the show to ask their vets for advice they were giving to farmers.
