Payments for the Knowledge Transfer (KT) programme for year two have now commenced. These payments will be issued to the KT facilitator first.
According to the Department, it can take four to six working days for payments to reach payee bank accounts from when they are processed with the Department. The EU regulations set out that all payments for farmers under KT must be paid to the farmer via the facilitator. Facilitators must ensure that the payment amount passes in total to the farmer, otherwise they cannot draw down their own payments. If facilitators have queries, they can make contact with the Department via email at KTPayments@agriculture.gov.ie.
Where a farmer has met all the requirements of Year 2 of the scheme, the payment is €750. In cases where a farmer is in two Knowledge Transfer Groups, he/she will receive a total payment of €1,125.
