Terra NutriTECH, the Kildare-based company formerly known as Terra Liquid Minerals, has announced a €2m investment in R&D and market expansion. The company also intends to double its workforce to 30 over the next three years.
The ag-tech company made the announcement at it officially opened its new head office in Moone, Co Kildare.
“It’s wonderful to see such an exciting development in a rural area” said European Commissioner Phil Hogan, who officially opened Terra’s new offices. “This company embodies everything that is great about Irish agriculture and business, family run, based in a rural area,” he added.
Founded in 2012 by brothers Tom and Padraig Hennessy, Terra first developed an automated system for dispensing minerals through a farms water system. The company today works with over 300 farmers across Ireland. The company was named the overall winner at the 2018 National Enterprise Awards and was also named the 2018 winner of Google’s ‘Adopt a Start-up’ competition.
