Brazen thieves stole €10,000 of farm equipment in the dead of night from a farm in Wilkinstown, Co Meath.
A quad, power-washer and chainsaw were stolen from the garage attached to the owner’s house while the family was sleeping on Monday night 17 December.
The farmer has appealed for any information leading to the recovery of his 2016 four-wheel-drive Honda 420, the Husqvarna chainsaw and the Karcher power-washer.

He estimates the equipment is worth around €10,000.

“They were all locked in the garage,” he told the Irish Farmers Journal.
“They got in a window and were able to pull the ropes to open the garage door.
"I think they must have pushed the quad down the drive to get to a vehicle to take it away.”
“We were all in bed, we didn’t hear anything and only realised they were gone this morning.”
Gardaí in Navan are investigating and anyone with any information can contact them on 046-903 6100.
