A total of 664 eligible applicants to the 2018 Basic Payments Scheme are still awaiting payment. Some €1.17bn has been issued already to 122,431 eligible applicants.

“Regular pay runs will continue to take place to ensure that cases that become clear for payment are paid as quickly as possible,” Minister Michael Creed said.

The county with the highest proportion of farmers awaiting payment is Donegal, with 129 (2%) not paid.
