I see beef baron and billionaire Larry Goodman has added another €800,000 profit to his fortune through the sale of Independent News and Media (INM).
The Irish Times reports that Goodman has a 2.14% stake in INM, acquired through an investment company.
INM owns the Irish Independent, the Sunday Independent, Sunday World, Herald, Belfast Telegraph and several regional papers.
INM is to be bought by Belgian media company Mediahuis for €146m, it was announced on Monday.
Goodman will receive some €3.1m from the sale having acquired the shares for around €2.3m.
This equates to a return of 35% on his investment. Not bad going.
