  • Almost 57,000 Leaving Certificate students will receive their results next Tuesday, 13th August. As usual the results will be available from the school. The on-line results service will be available from the earlier time of 10am on that day by visiting https://www.examinations.ie/statement-of-results/.
  • 14 August

  • From 9am on Wednesday students will be able to see their component marks for each subject. This will give students a breakdown of results on paper one, paper two and any practical coursework. For example if you did Agricultural Science you will be able to see how your examination paper and project graded. This facility is available online only. Students can apply online to view their scripts from 9am on Wednesday morning.
  • 15 August

  • Round one Central Applications Office (CAO) offers are released at 2pm. Offers by email and SMS text. No postal offers. Acceptance closing date 23 August at 17.15pm. See CAO.ie.
  • 16 August

  • The deadline to apply to view scripts closes at 5pm. The viewing allows candidates to satisfy themselves that the marking scheme has been applied correctly to their work and help candidates making a decision to appeal a result in one or more subjects. You can appeal your results from 5pm online.
  • 20-21 August

  • From 5pm on Tuesday 20 August to 5pm Wednesday 21 August students that have applied to view their scripts will be able to access them either online or in schools.
  • 22 August

  • The deadline for students appealing results is Thursday 22 August at 5pm. The fees for appealing a result:
  • Leaving Certificate Established – €40 per subject.

    Leaving Certificate Applied – €15.50 per subject.

    Appeal fees are refunded in the event that a result is upgraded and are refunded directly to the card which was used to pay the fee.

  • Round two CAO offers - acceptance closing date 30 August at 17.15pm. See CAO.ie
  • 20 September

  • Appeal results will be issued in the week ending Friday 20 September, three weeks earlier than the normal timeframe.
  • Top tip: when students receive results next Tuesday they won’t be told what points they got. Familiarise yourself with what the grades mean or use the points calculator on the CAO website.
