Up to 50mm of rain is forecast across the country on Thursday and Friday, along with gusts of up 130km/h in some parts, as storm Lorenzo passes over the country.
Met Éireann has issued a status yellow rainfall warning for Ireland, warning of spells of heavy rain which will result in some flooding. The warning is in place from 9am on Thursday until 9am on Friday.
A status orange wind warning has been issued for Galway, Mayo, Clare, Cork, Kerry and Limerick.

Southwesterly winds are forecast to veer westerly and will reach mean speeds 65km/h to 80km/h, with gusts generally from 100km/h to 130km/h, higher in coastal regions.
Storm surges will produce coastal flooding and damage, Met Éireann has warned.
The wind warning is in place from 6pm on Thursday until 3am on Friday.
A yellow wind warning is also in place for the whole country, with Met Éireann warning that southeasterly winds will later veer southwesterly and will reach mean speeds 50km/h to 65km/h, with gusts to 100km/h “resulting in some disruptive impacts”.
