The farmer fascination with the beef baron continues, with Larry Goodman making it into the top 10 trending terms in Irish agriculture.

Larry Goodman’s business and investment empire is valued at close to €4bn, an in-depth investigation carried out by the Irish Farmers Journal revealed.

One of his companies - C&D Foods - was also in the limelight when it held a number of injunctions against protesting farmers during the summer.

Number eight: dairy

The interest in dairy is still strong, with dairy making the top 10 list.

Number seven: cattle

Cattle made it to number seven on the list. One can only guess that Irish people might have been searching for cattle in relation to their climate emissions.

Number six: sheep

Some people will be surprised to see that sheep were more searched for than cattle this year!

Of course, the news will come as no surprise to sheep farmers who are fond of their flocks.

Number five: Glanbia

Ireland's biggest processor made it to the 2019 list. It was in hot water with farmers over its milk price at times and was the point of focus for a grain protest, but it is the only milk processor on the list.

Some farmers won't be pleased to hear the news that the term veganism topped the trending list.
