Claas was recently awarded three machine of the year 2020 accolades at Agritechnica in Hanover. The awards were for DataConnect, a joint project alongside other manufacturers, its new Lexion and the new Jaguar.

Lexion 8000/7000

The new APS synflow hybrid threshing unit combined with the higher engine output of up to 790hp, puts the new generation of Lexion into a higher performance class of machine. Equipped with a new cab, a dynamic power system has the ability to adjust the engine output to the operating conditions. These features were key to the new Lexion sweeping the 2020 combine of the year award.

Jaguar 990

The new Jaguar 990 is the latest flagship forager from Claas. With a power output of 925hp, it’s now available with CEMOS auto performance, a system that can maintain a set speed and regulates engine power and driving speed according to the crop mass. As the crop mass increases, the engine power is first increased and then the driving speed is reduced. If the crop mass is lower, the engine power is reduced automatically. It essentially eliminates any harsh load changes.

DataConnect

DataConnect is an interface in co-operation with 365FarmNet, Claas, John Deere and CNH Industrial. It enables the exchange of machine data between the web portals of different manufacturers. It allows the user to monitor the information of their mixed machine fleet in the system of their choice.
