Met Éireann has extended its status yellow snow-ice warning for the country until 10.00am on Monday.
Scattered wintry showers of hail, sleet and snow are forecast with some accumulations, especially on higher ground, and icy stretches on roads and footpaths.
The warning was due to end on Sunday morning, but it has been extended for another day.

Met Éireann said Sunday will start off dry and clear in many areas at first, but showers in the south and west will become more widespread through the afternoon.
Some of the showers will turn wintry. Highest temperatures will range from 2°C to 3°C in the north to 6°C or 7°C in the south. Temperatures will be lower in any areas with lying snow.
Winds are forecast to stay light in most areas but it will become windy in the southwest, with westerly gales possibly along the coast later.
