The Slievenamon Discussion Group also recently celebrated a 40th anniversary. The genesis of the Slievenamon group happened when dairy farmer Pat O’Connor from Grange in south Tipperary, Pat Hanrahan and local adviser Bill O’Brien from ICI met to see if there was a local interest in setting up a group.

Currently, the group has 16 members and meets on the second Tuesday of every month.

Donal Maher is the chair and James Mullane from Teagasc is the current facilitator.
