The Lister All Ireland Shearing and Woolhandling Championships, due to take place in Ballyshannon, Co Donegal, has been postponed until 2021.
The move was confirmed by the Irish Sheep Shearers' Association over the weekend.
The event had been due to take place on 6 and 7 June.

Upwards of 10,000 people had been expected to attend the event, to watch competitors from the Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland, Wales, Scotland, New Zealand and Australia compete.
