Bullocks
Bullocks weighing 350kg to 400kg averaged €2.13/kg, up €0.10/kg on the week. However, bullocks from 400kg to 500kg saw the greatest rise, up €0.24/kg to an average of €2.32/kg. Bullocks weighing from 500kg to 600kg were unchanged on the week, averaging €2.03/kg, while those over 600kg were up €0.03/kg on the week to €1.96/kg. Within this, continental bullocks averaged €2.04/kg, Angus and Hereford made €1.98/kg and Friesan bullocks made €1.84/kg.

Charolais-cross bullocks weighing from 400kg to 500kg averaged €2.40/kg, with the top third achieving €2.45/kg. Limousin crosses in the same weight band averaged €2.38/kg, with the top third managing an average of €2.52/kg. Charolais and Limousin bullocks weighing from 500kg to 600kg averaged €2.35/kg and €2.12/kg respectively.
Friesian steers weighing between 500kg and 600kg averaged €1.81/kg. There was a small number of Friesan bullocks in the 400kg to 500kg range which averaged €1.78/kg.

These four Charolais bullocks averaged 666kg and made €2.12/kg.
Heifers
Heifer numbers were smaller in the sale, with Charolais heifers from 400kg to 500kg averaging €2.14/kg and topping out at €2.22/kg for a batch of five 12-14-month-old 415kg heifers. Limousin heifers in the same weight bracket averaged €2.23/kg.
Hereford heifers weighing from 500kg to 600kg averaged €1.96/kg and peaked at €2.10/kg for a batch of four 27-month-old heifers weighing 556kg.
Cows
Cows averaged €1.40/kg for 41 sold, with stronger, more fleshed types averaging €1.61/kg and making up to €1.68/kg for a 2013 Charolais-cross cow weighing 575kg. Dairy cow types averaged €1.35/kg.
