Dairygold has reduced its base price for April milk supplies by 1c/l.
Suppliers will receive 27.22c/l excluding VAT, but inclusive of bonuses based on standard constituents of 3.3% protein and 3.6% butterfat.
It equates to an average farmgate milk price of 29.4c/l excluding VAT based on average April milk solids for all milk supplied to Dairygold.

Distorted global demand
In a statement the processor said: “The COVID-19 pandemic continues to distort the global demand for dairy products. Dairygold board and management are taking all necessary measures to mitigate the consequences, but, regrettably, milk price adjustments are necessary at this point.”
