My perfect summer day out would start ...

By bundling up the toddlers and heading out to our veg garden to harvest the day's veg and do a spot of foraging along the way. At the moment I love foraging for meadowsweet. It's the scent of summer for me and makes an incredible cordial. Although it's simple, I love this time in the morning to enjoy the season, take pleasure in what's growing and connect with nature.

The song I'd have on in my headphones would be ...

I do love a bit of Nina Simone. Her beautiful voice never fails to make me happy!

For a picnic, I'd be sure to pack ...

Definitely a good frittata. I love to cook it with plenty of wilted summer greens and parmesan. It is so delicious and travels well for a picnic too. Then some good beetroot crisps (I love the Joe's Crisps brand from Cork), homemade cordial and some fresh summer berries. Oh and some Neary Nogs chocolate too of course!

I would go for a drive to ...

The beach! We are so lucky that the farm is only a stone’s throw from the Giant's Causeway, White Park Bay and Ballintoy Harbour. White Park Bay in particular is utter bliss and there's nothing quite like that fresh sea air and the feel of sand underfoot to feel completely refreshed. I'd then make a trip out to Babushka cafe in Portrush to see our friend George and get a really great cup of coffee.

If I was going to a local tourist attraction, I'd visit …

The Carrick-a- Rede rope bridge is so breath-taking. It's a great way of seeing the stunning coastline and the rope bridge is great fun to cross! I love to visit it a few times each year, even if the queues of tourists seem to get longer each time! It's still worth it.

If I had time to squeeze in a walk, I'd ...

Go to Breen Oakwood Nature Reserve. It's a bit like a fairy glade and I love being surrounded by the old oak trees.

For dinner, I'd book ...

Ocho Tapas in Portrush is delicious and one of my favourite places to eat out on the north coast. I love that you get such an array of dishes in one meal and they are all cooked perfectly. The albondigas are probably my favourite dish.

If I was really going to treat myself, I'd stay overnight in ...

The Salthouse hotel and spa in Ballycastle is a new addition to the town but already a firm favourite! It has good food but most importantly a spa, which after a long season on the farm is a well-needed treat!
