Polish milk collections in June came in at just over 1bn litres, which was almost 5%, or 45m litres, higher than the same month last year.
This brings Polish milk production for the first six months of 2020 (Jan-June) to a cumulative 6.1bn litres, which is almost 3%, or 165m litres, ahead of the same period last year.

After Ireland, milk production in Poland is growing at one of the fastest rates in all of Europe.
Steady rate
For the past four years, Polish dairy farmers have pumped out milk at a steady rate of growth every month, typically in the mid-single-digit range.
In 2015, Polish milk production stood at just under 6.4bn litres of milk. Milk production in the eastern European country has since almost doubled and came in at 11.8bn litres last year.
The country is on course to break the 12bn litre mark in 2020 should conditions remain favourable for Polish dairy farmers.
