Larry Goodman’s ABP Food Group has announced the appointment of Chris Martin, the former CEO of Musgrave’s, as a non-executive director to the board of the company. Martin brings over 35 years’ experience to the ABP board, having worked in retail and consumer facing businesses in the UK and Ireland.
Most recently, Martin spent 15 years as CEO of Musgrave’s, the grocery and food sevice wholesale business that operates the SuperValu, Centra and Musgrave marketplace brands in Ireland.
“I am delighted to welcome Chris Martin to the Board of ABP Food Group. His experiences from a long career at the leading end of retail, and most particularly food retail, will be of considerable value with the ongoing strategic development of the business,” said Larry Goodman on the appointment.

Martin is just the latest high-profile appointment to the board of ABP. In March this year, the beef processing giant announced the appointment of John Moloney, the former CEO of Glanbia, as a non-executive director and chair designate of the board of ABP.
