The Ulster Farmers’ Union (UFU) has achieved membership growth for the third year in a row.

The membership now stands at 11,502, up 59 on the 2019 figure, and over 100 ahead of the total from 2018.

The key to the figures is retention of existing members, and overall this finished at a record average of 96% across all local groups.

UFU income for 2020 is up 3.8%.

“This is a fantastic achievement when COVID-19 practically closed us all down. It is an incredible reflection of the hard work of all our UFU staff,” said UFU deputy president David Brown.
