The technology side involves developing and selling imaging technology to the pharmaceutical industry while the education side of the business runs courses from Level 6 to Masters level in the areas of food science, pharmaceutical science, pharmaceutical business and data analytics. All of the programmes are fully accredited through QQI. Particularly relevant to the food industry are the Level 6 Food Science and Technology course and the Level 8 higher diploma in Food Science and Technology which are run in both Dublin and Cork.

The company was founded in 2009 and began developing courses to upskill those interested in working in the food and pharmaceutical sectors. Available through the government-sponsored Springboard initiative and privately, over 1,500 students have undertaken study with Innopharma Labs to date. Innopharma Labs’ Level 8 degree and Masters programmes which are run in the evenings and online, attract a large private offering.

The company runs many of its programmes in conjunction with IT Tallaght and Griffith College. Lectures take place in theatres in Innopharma Labs’ Sandyford base and in these colleges, depending on the course.
