The National Dairy Council blue Dome will include a flavour of nostalgia as it celebrates its 50th Anniversary Year as the experts in dairy. The Dome will also have a spotlight on nutrition and wellbeing at this year’s National Ploughing Championships.

Broadcaster and designer Brendan Courtney will join the NDC on Day 2, Wednesday 24th September, to launch two new consumer leaflets on 'Nutrition and You', for adults and for children. He will chat live in the NDC Dome with Dr. Catherine Logan, NDC about top tips on nutrition and fitness and putting a focus on the ladies about 'Being the Best of You.'

Wednesday 24th September is also designated World School Milk Day by the UN (United Nations) Food & Agriculture Organisation (FAO) giving the NDC an opportunity to highlight its role in promoting the EU School Milk Scheme at the ploughing.

On Thursday 25th September GAA players will be at the NDC Dome, supporting the NDC's work in promoting the positive role that milk may play in a number of aspects of sports nutrition.

Visitors to the NDC Dome can take part in the Cheesy Smiles photobooth competitions and test their football skills in a penalty shoot-out zone. As well as this, The Sam Maguire of Farming will be on display and will be presented to the overall winners of the NDC & Kerrygold Quality Milk Awards in October.
