Pöttinger says the three-point linkage mounting and short, compact construction, give the new TOP 612 centre-swath rake with a working width of 5.9m with unbeatable manoeuvrability.

The three-point linkage mounting features a pivoting headstock, which according to the manufacturers is practical and ingeniously designed. The hydraulic interlock on the pivoting headstock locks in for safe transport and turning when raised at the headland.

The new rotors with a diameter of 2.80m, a cam track diameter of 350mm and 11 tine arms retain several features. The rake still features a large diameter cam track without steep inclines. Pöttinger belives this design provides the tine arms with maximum strength and minimum stress on the arm bearings.

The tine arms can be easily replaced, with just two bolts needed to be removed if a collision should occur.

The rotor gearbox submerges the gears in semi-liquid grease and it is completely sealed to keep out dust. The transport height remains under 4m without removing the tine arms and with a transport width of just 2.7m when folded. For undulating ground a tandem chassis is also available as an option.
