Despite question marks still hanging over the Horse Sport Ireland Stallion Inspections, a good entry of more than 30 young colts has been catalogued for the two-day session at Cavan Equestrian Centre on Tuesday and Wednesday, 7th and 8th of March. At time of going to press, 31 had been fully signed up while veterinary results were awaited for more.

Of those already in the catalogue, there were 15 Irish Draught and 16 Irish Sport Horses. Among the ID sires represented were Dublin Champion, Grosvenor Lad, Rebel Mountain, Gentle Diamond, who has two in, Fast Silver, Diamond Design, Shenandoah Prince Holly, Mountain Diamond, WRS Sun Rich, also with two, Rockrimmon Silver Diamond, Connaught Grey, Inisfree The Holy Grail, Cappa Cassanova, Castlegar Rebel and Mountain Diamond. In the Sport Horse entry, the thoroughbred Giants Causeway has one and so too does Loughehoe Guy. Some top Continental sires like Contendro, Cornet Obolensky and Corrado are represented as is the Irish-based OBOS Quality.
