Michelle O' Callaghan, a member of Knockraha Macra na Feirme in the Seandun Region of Cork, has declared to her club and region her intentions to run to be the next Macra na Feirme president for 2015-2017.
O' Callaghan has been involved with Macra for over 13 years taking on roles within her club, region, county and nationally.
At present O' Callaghan is the National Council Rep for Seandun and sits on Macra na Feirme's National Executive, National Finance committee as well as the Macra na Feirme's National Rural Youth committee. She was instrumental in the reforming of her local club which has gone from strength to strength.

The Cork woman lives in Knockraha with her family on the family farm where there is mixed enterprize of dairy, beef, tillage and contracting. She currently works as a QA Chemist with Pfizer in Ringaskiddy and is currently under taking the Level 6 Advanced Certificate in Agriculture.
Eamon Cassells from Meath has also declared his intention to contest next year's Macra presidential election.
