Nitrogen prices have moved on significantly in recent weeks, with CAN now retailing at up to €230/t, while urea is pushing beyond €300/t and up to €330/t in some cases.

This comes as CAN producers increased bulk prices by €20/t to €30/t in the past number of weeks as global nitrogen markets remain tight.

Urea has seen the biggest rises, driven by a shortage of supply and hence export in China.

While there is stock in the country, much still needs to be purchased.

NPK compounds are much more steady with 10-10-20 retailing at around €370//t to €380/t for full loads.
