Bettink Services Team

Given their ability to provide an alternative source of clean energy, many people have turned to wind turbines in recent years. However, beyond the costs of a turbine’s installation, its maintenance is also crucial. Bettink Service Team, who have over 20 years of expertise in wind energy, were at Balmoral Show.

Based in Northern Ireland, they install and maintain over 500 wind turbines across a number of EU countries.

They offer their maintenance service on a Garant Contract, meaning all repairs and parts are covered in a fixed price, no matter what work has to be done.

Customers can avail of turnkey projects; this means that Bettink takes over all the responsibility from start to finish of the build as well as the service and maintenance. Finally, they have developed their own-brand oil specially designed for wind turbines and carry out regular oil changes.

Pel Solar Fencing

Stradbally Farm Services was at Balmoral to introduce its full range of solar-powered fencers.

Solar-powered fencers are a good option for farmers who are farming areas of land where mains power is not an option. They also eliminate the problems that arise when using a battery-operated fencer as the battery charges during daylight hours. This can also extend a battery’s lifespan, as continuous charge is superior to one-off charges.

Their solar fencers range in power and are capable of fencing from one to 90 acres and are designed to suit both tape/polywire as well as 2.5mm high-tensile wire.

Their smaller portable options range from 0.16 to 0.5 and can power up to 8km of temporary wire. The higher power units are capable of reaching up to six joules and can power up to 50km of high-tensile wire. A battery fencer by comparison offers 0.03 to 0.5 output joules.

The basic solar fencer starts at €290. More information at stradballyfarmservices.com.
