On Reflection is the title of the latest collection of songs from the man from Aglish in the Blackwater Valley of County Waterford.

The career of the Decie man soared after he won the Irish Gold Star award and represented Ireland at the Euro Gold Star in Holland in the late 1980s.

The studio is like a second home to Paddy whose career in the business goes back to the 1980s.

“Some people find studio work tedious and demanding but I always enjoy time spent laying down favourite songs and putting my own mark on them.

“There is both a buzz and a sense of peace about recording and it is always a special feeling when you believe you have caught the mood of a song,” reflects Paddy.

The Johnny McEvoy composition, You Seldom Come To See Me Anymore, has recently been released on single for the radio.

Fans of Paddy will be pleased with his choice of material for On Reflection.

The album is now available at all of Paddy’s gigs as well as from record stores and by post or through PayPal from his website paddyobrien.com.

Paddy and his band will be joined by guest performers Jimmy Buckley, Patrick Feeney, John McNicholl, Trudi Lalor, John Hogan and Bernie Heaney for the big dancing night in The Hazel Tree in Mallow, Co Cork. The first act will be on stage at 8.45pm. CL
